Classic style “[serves] as a standard of excellence” and specifically in apparel, it is “characterized by simple tailored lines in fashion year after year,” according to Merriam-Webster.
Since classic style is ageless, it will not surprise you that elegant women today and throughout history have built the foundation of their wardrobe upon these pieces. Commonly known as capsule wardrobe essentials.
The wardrobe essentials that make up the foundation of a stylish women’s clothing always comprise neutral colors, quality fabrics and comfortable pieces. These are pieces we reach for everyday, so it is imperative that they are pieces we enjoy wearing, look good on us and feel great.
One thing I always like to mention when writing about the quality of classic style pieces we choose for our wardrobes is quality need not be expensive. In fact, expensive pieces do not guarantee quality anymore than being rich, guarantees being classy. The key is to buy and wear clothing made of primarily natural fibers, such as wool, silk, and cotton, linen, etc.
