Travel Outfit
Ideal for travel during the summer months. Over time, I found this travel outfit to be tried and true, stylish and super comfortable, too.
This black Lululemon zipper jacket does a great job of keeping me warm, and this was no different for our flight to San Francisco. It is a fabulous travel companion, works well as a casual jacket option during vacation.
This white v-neck t-Shirt, and black skort , paired with my favorite walking shoes, (black Nike Zoom Pegasus sneakers) were not only ideal for travel, these pieces pair well with capsule wardrobe pieces and provide additional outfit options while on vacation.
Restoration Hardware Dinner – Yountville
What a wonder setting for dinner, RH or Restoration Hardware restaurant in Yountville was a beautiful dining experience. The decor was exquisite. Decorated with beautiful crystal chandeliers, charcoal linen seating and marble tabletops, the outdoor seating was elegant and provided an ideal setting for our summer evening dining experience.
This pink tank dress, styled with this silk white cardigan thrown over my shoulders, nude thong sandals, and my Teddy Blake Stella Vitella bag (with a pearl replacement handle) were fashionable, effortless and an appropriate outfit for dinner on the patio.
Far Niente Winery
In alignment with the overall California vibe, the staff and guests at Napa Valley wineries were all very easy-going and casually dressed. However, as a guest and out of respect for the beautiful setting, elevated casual attire felt like the right to wear at these beautiful wine tasting venues.
This elevated casual look was both comfortable and polished under the warm summer sun. Breathable and easy to wear, this white sleeveless turtleneck top, and khaki shorts, styled with a silver skinny belt, and silver flat sandals were the right selection of pieces to wear for our afternoon of wine tasting at both Far Niente Winery and Nickel & Nickel.

Dinner at Bistro Jeanty
For home cooked French cuisine, consider Bistro Jeanty for your dinner plans during your stay in the Yountville area. This quaint little bistro has plenty of casual outdoor dining space and a menu full of amazing entrees to choose from after a busy day of wine tasting.
In this beautiful white dress, my look was more elevated than most in the restaurant, but I always prefer being overdressed versus underdressed when out on the town. These casual silver sandals made the dress look less formal and quite appropriate for the setting. Wearing simple silver accessories added the perfect amount of shine and was an ideal choice for pulling this outfit together.
White dress, Silver Flat Sandals, Chunky silver earrings (20mm), Omega gold/silver reversible necklace , Silver bangle bracelets
What to Wear for a Hot-Air Balloon Ride
What a beautiful way to see Napa Valley! We went up on the perfect, crystal clear, cloudless day and could see the entire valley from the Golden Gate bridge to Mt. Veeder.
Since hot air balloons typically launch and land in fields, casual attire is perfect for this event. I wore this pink Banana Republic graphic tee, black skort , and white Adidas sneakers and I could not have felt more appropriately dress or more comfortable.
However, I brought along a jacket for my morning ride to the launch site, because it was quite cool. But by the time we launched, air temperatures were ideal, and there had no need for a jacket.
Wine Tasting at PlumpJack Winery
Another elevated casual outfit for wine tasting, this black sleeveless turtleneck top, paired with these denim button-fly Bermuda shorts, silver skinny belt, and silver flat sandals was ideal for this winery farm setting.
PlumpJack Winery hosted us in a beautiful outdoor setting on their rustic deck, and the view could not have been more stunning. Between the endless vineyards, Rocky Mountains in the distance, and the amazing wine we tasted that day, our experience was a feast for the eyes and tantalizing to the tastebuds!
What to Wear Shopping in St. Helena
We decided to checkout what downtown St. Helena offered since it was nearby, only about 10 minutes from Yountville (where we were staying). We learned they have lots of little art galleries and fun shops. While not a big downtown area, wearing these denim shorts, t-shirt (elevated slightly with silver accessories) and flat sandals felt exactly right for this shopping adventure.
We popped in and out of several art galleries, but found Christopher Hill’s are gallery the most interesting. The collection of art in his studio, representing several artists, and was definitely our vibe! We love art that has depth and meaning, without being too serious, and that is exactly what we found at Hill’s gallery.
Christopher himself hosted us that morning. He was charming, chatty, and very knowledgeable about the collection of artists that he featured in his gallery. We discovered a few new amazing artists that day and had a fun adventure exploring the quaint downtown area.
Elevated Casual Outfit for Wine Tasting
For another fashionable look, I styled a green print halter top (similar), with my khaki shorts, nude thong sandals, and this natural stretch belt for a stylish, elevated casual look and it felt very appropriate for this casual California vineyard setting.
Dinner at North Block in Yountville
While all the restaurants in Yountville were quite casual, dressing a bit more elevated felt appropriate for such a beautiful setting. This black maxi dress,, with the white silk cardigan sweater thrown over my shoulders, looks stylish and classic, yet effortlessly chic for this setting. Ideal with a pair of nude thong sandals. This outfit looked elegant but was very comfortable for an after-dinner stroll through town.
